The Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has mocked Peter Obi the presidential candidate of Labour Party following the conviction of the party’s presidential Campaign Council Director General, Doyin Okupe.
Newsbreak had earlier reported that Okupe was sentenced by an Abuja High Court after he was found guilty of money laundering charges levelled against him by anti-graft EFCC.
However in a tweet on Monday, Sowore threw a subtle jab at Peter Obi and Labour party stating that his party does not have money launders and massacre defenders in their midst.
“We’re glad to restate again that we are different, that we do not have money launderers in our midst @doyinokupe that we don’t have a massacre defender, Gen. Enenche (RTD), we don’t have corrupt godfathers-Obasanjo & Babangida. And a candidate who provided support for SARS,” Sowore wrote.
Recall that Peter Obi was widely chastised for including on his campaign train a military commander who claimed there was no carnage at the Lekki tollgate during the #EndSARS protest. However, Obi removed the military general from the list following significant agitations from his fans who were active components of the #EndSARS campaign.
