The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi has reacted to news of the arrest of former deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife in the United Kingdom (UK) for alleged organ harvesting.
Newsbreak.ng reported that Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, were arrested in the UK for organ harvesting and were subsequently arraigned and detained till July 7, pending investigation.
Reacting, Peter Obi, via Twitter, called on men of goodwill to pray for the healing of their daughter and commit them into God’s hand for justice to be done.
He tweeted, “My family and I are with the Ekweremadu’s over their travail. We join all men of goodwill in praying for the healing of their daughter and commit them into God’s hand for justice to be done. -PO”
Ekweremadu was arrested in the UK while trying to get a kidney transplant for his daughter.
