Titilayo Tomori, the deputy governor of Osun state, is alive, the state government stated in a statement released on Wednesday. Rumour of Tomori’s death had spread across the state on Wednesday, but her aide, Gboyega Labiran, said it was a hoax. “Contrary to rumours making the rounds about the state of health of Osun Deputy Governor, Mrs Titi Laoye-Tomori, it has been officially confirmed that the immediate past Commissioner for Education in the State is as fit as a fiddle and presently enjoying a very sound health. She officially secured an approval to proceed on annual leave for the very first time since the inception of the Ogbeni Aregbesola political administration.” Labiran promised Tomori would soon be back, as they have been on a regular telephone contact.
