The All Progressives Congress, APC, won the polling units in Osogbo and Orolu Local Government Areas where the Osun State governorship re-run election was conducted.
The presiding officers in the various polling units declared the APC the winner after the party polled the highest number of votes in the election, The Nation reports.

The polling unit in Osogbo, the state capital; Unit 17, Ward 5, where the initial election was cancelled, has 947 registered voters.
APC polled 299 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, garnered 165 votes.
Also, the APC also coasted home to victory in Orolu, winning two out of the three polling units in the local government.
In Ward 08, Unit 1, the APC got a total of 111 votes while the PDP got three votes. A number of three (3) votes were voided.
In Ward 08 Unit 4, the APC polled 128 votes, the PDP got 55 votes, while four (4) votes were voided.
But in Ward 9, Unit 3, the PDP won by polling 64 votes to APC’s 41, while one vote was voided.
Newsbreak.ng recalls that the APC candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, had won the rerun election in both Ife North and Ife South.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is now expected to declare the winner of the rerun election.
