Anger has trailed the trending video on Twitter, of the commissioner of police in Ondo State, Bolaji Salami, preventing the state deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, from leaving the Government House in Akure, the state capital.

It was gathered that Salami restrained Ajayi from leaving with his official vehicle on Saturday night, with the incident said to be connected to the ongoing rift between the deputy governor and governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
According to reports, Ajayi is reportedly planning to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC), for another party, due to the worsening relationship between himself and Akeredolu.

In the 41 seconds video that had gone viral, the police commissioner was seen standing in front of the deputy governor, telling him he will not allow him to leave the government house.
“You have defected, your letter has been brought to my office,” the CP said in the video.
Ajayi then lashed back, “If I have defected, what is your own? CP, are you the chairman of APC? Are you the chairman of PDP? What is your concern if I defect?”

The development has now generated reactions from some Nigerians, most of who condemned the unprofessional conduct of the commissioner.
@Samuelnseabasi, a user of the platform, asked commissioner, “How much did they pay you this man? The video was loud enough for everyone the hear what the CP was saying.”

Also, @Bolanlecole, described the video as a show of shame from the governor: “This is purely a show of shame from my dear state for Governor @Rotimiakeredolu to have detained on hostage the Deputy Governor @AAjayiAgboola from leaving Government house.”
Another user, @Enixword, wrote: “The CP is obviously ashamed of himself, but does not have any honor or self pride. He would rather eat shit served by the governor than say NO!”

@Charles60660607, said: “What has befallen us in this country? Is the CP working for Ondo people or the Governor? I fear for the upcoming governorship election in the State, if this CP is still allowed to take charge of the security.”
Another user, @Yemijacobs, called for the sack of the commissioner.

“The CP should be sacked with immediate effect,we need to get to a point where people understand the difference between the rule of law and party affiliations,” he wrote.
