Presidential hopeful and former deputy governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kingsley Moghalu has condemned the killing of Christians by unknown gunmen in Owo, Ondo State.
Newsbreak.ng reported that some unknown gunmen suspected to be Fulani attacked St Francis Catholic Church during service and killed many worshippers.
Reacting to the news, Moghalu condemned the act and called on the Nigerian government to protect the lives of the people against marauding terrorists.
He tweeted, “The terrorist attack on a church in Owo, Ondo State today, in which 40 people were reportedly killed, is a wicked and unconscionable act. I condemn it strongly, and ask @NigeriaGov to end its failure to protect the lives of Nigerians from terrorist marauders.
“My condolences to the families of the victims.”
