An eyewitness at the Craneburg Construction site in Owo, Ondo State has narrated what happened when gunmen stormed the facility on Wednesday night around 8:30 pm.
Speaking to TVC, he said around 8:30 pm, he was outside with some of his colleagues when they heard gunshots.
He said, “About 8:30 pm yesterday, I was outside with some of my colleagues when we heard a gunshot. We initially thought it was those cult people but the gunshots become heavier and that was when we ran into the toilet.
“The gunmen threw dynamite into one of our equipment and damaged the tyre. People ran helter-skelter. We couldn’t come out because we didn’t have any weapons to defend ourselves. Fifteen minutes later, when the pressure was down, we went outside and saw that two of our colleagues had been shot and we rushed them to the hospital.
“It was later that security personnel arrived, including the Commissioner of Police and the Amotekun corps. No lives were lost.”
