Abraham Alamu, a 27-year-old farmer, has been arrested for allegedly killing a herdsman, Shuaib Adamu, in Ogbomoso, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

According to reports, Alamu launched a brutal attack on Adamu on August 21, 2020, after he caught his cattle grazing on his farmland.
Oluwole Olusegun, spokesperson of the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), who confirmed the incident to journalists, said Alamu has been handed over to the police for investigations into the suspected murder.

Olusegun disclosed that items recovered from the suspect include: carpenter working tools: scissors, hammer, saw, nail remover, mosquito net, three ATM cards, two apprentice identification cards, cloth, bible, toothbrush, and purse.

Alamu was said to have escaped to an unknown destination after committing the crime, before Agro Rangers squad of the NSCDC stationed at Ogbomoso tracked him down on August 28, and apprehended him.
