Oyo Monarch, 10 Chiefs Face Terrorism Charges In Abuja

A traditional ruler in Oyo State, Oba Solomon Akinola, alongside with 10 high chiefs appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja on 12 counts of terrorism charges on Thursday.

The 10  high chiefs identified as: Sunday Aderinto, Samson Ogunmola Timothy Adewale Aderinto, Jimoh Asimiyu, Segun Gbadebo, Oluwole Ogundeji, Akintaro Mathew Piamo, Rafiu Ganiyu, Adejare Adeleru and Zacheus Adeleru.

According to daily Post report, the Inspector General of Police filed the terrorism charges against them and they were arraigned before Justice Egwuatu Obiora in Abuja this morning.

The criminal charges indicated that the defendants allegedly invaded Aagba Community in Oyo State and kidnapped three people in addition to inflicting various degrees of injuries on their victims.
