A boat carrying 10 passengers capsized in Lagos State on Tuesday night.
However, no life was lost in the incident, which occurred at Marine Police headquarters, Awolowo road, Ikoyi area of the state.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the boat capsized enroute Ikoyi from Ilashe, after it collided with an unidentified object on water.
The agency said the passengers, which comprise nine males and a female, involved in the incident were all rescued alive by the marine police, in conjunction with LASEMA Response Team.
It gave the name of the captain of the boat as Ogungbe Taiwo, and those of the passengers as;
Ernest Abode, Anjadick Emmanuel Isah, Obima Ewere, Mashack Bulus, Oyefeso Oluwamayo, Owoyemi Taiwo Peter,
Aina Oluwasanmi, Lawal Gbolahan and Chinasa Temitope, the only female passenger.
