The All Progressives Congress (APC), Tuesday, attacked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its chairman, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, following the ongoing crisis in the opposition party.
In a statement signed by the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Barr. Felix Morka, the ruling party condemned Ayu for blaming the APC and ‘other mischievous people’ for planting stories in the media and stocking the feud with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.
APC said Ayu is in quicksand and swinging wildly in search of third parties to blame for the internal combustion in the opposition party.
“Unlike the party of Ayu, APC does not “plant stories” and does not meddle in the internal affairs of other parties. That is an area of extreme and unrivalled competence of the PDP. In any event, the PDP is unravelling unstoppably and needs no help from the outside,” part of the statement read.
AYU, LEAVE APC OUT OF YOUR MESS
How can @OfficialPDPNig that has proved incapable of governing itself seek to govern Nigeria? After 16yrs of misgovernance & failure to reform itself, PDP stands morally disqualified from asking Nigerians for their votes in the general election. pic.twitter.com/MjYgOPn3Vy

Describing PDP’s 16 years in power as “ruthless misgovernance and crass failure,” APC said that a party incapable of governing itself cannot govern a country as important as Nigeria.
The PDP crisis is yet to be resolved as Governor Nyesom Wike insists that the National Chairman of the party, Ayu, vacate his seat before the 2023 presidential election.
