As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries hold today (Saturday), an aspirant under the party, Bala Mohammed, has vowed not to step down for anybody.
Newsbreak reports that Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State, revealed that he has been approached to step down — but he will not. “Yes, I have been. It came very late and it was not feasible for me to abandon my supporters,” he said at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
He added: “I am not stepping down for anybody. Nobody has my pedigree among the contenders from the north-east. Even from the south, they trust me.”
The PDP had thrown its presidential ticket open. So far, other aspirants include former Vice President, Abubakar Atiku; two former Senate Presidents, Bukola Saraki and Anyim Pius Anyim; Governors Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto); Nyesom Wike (Rivers); Emmanuel Udom (Akwa Ibom); former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose; Sam Ohunabunwa, and Dele Momodu.Bala Mohammed,
