It was all tears on Sunday as Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Fasasi, a Nigerian singer and rapper popularly known as Sound Sultan, was buried in the US state of New Jersey.
Sound Sultan, aged 44, died on Sunday from Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lyphoma, a rare form of cancer, according to a statement issued by Kayode Fasasi, a member of the family.
The late musician, who was a practising Muslim till his death, was buried according to Islamic rites in New Jersey on Sunday.
Present at the funeral was Farida, the grieving widow, who struggled to hold her tears as her husband was lowered in the grave.
Also present was Nigerian rapper, Olamide, as well as family and friends of the deceased.
