Residents of Kusfa in Zaria, Kaduna State, have organised a prayer session to seek divine intervention regarding incessant kidnappings by bandits in the ancient town.
The residents slaughtered two rams during the prayer, while they asked God for help against banditry.
Gunmen attacked Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, last week, abducting eight students and two lecturers who are yet to be rescued.
Days later, armed bandits kidnapped 12 persons, including a family, in Kofar Gayan and Kofar Kona areas of the town.
Emir of Zaria, Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, recently cried out that the emirate is under siege of kidnappers.
