The Police have arraigned the suspects arrested in connection of Flying Officer, Tolulope Arotile, before a Kaduna State Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
The duo, Nehemiah Adejo and David Adejo, were arrested after Arotile, the first female combat helicopter pilot of the Nigerian Air Force, died of injuries sustained after their vehicle hit her at the NAF Base, Kaduna.
They were arraigned on four counts of causing death by dangerous driving, driving without due care and attention, driving without a driving licence and driving without authorisation of the owner, and one count charge of negligent conduct while causing danger to person and property.
They pleaded guilty and were granted bail in the sum of N1 million each. They were also ordered by the court to produce two sureties each, who must reside within the jurisdiction of the court and are engaged in legal businesses and present a Bank Verification Number that corresponds with their information.
The case was adjourned till August 24 and 25.
