Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, candidate of the Action Democracy Party (ADP), in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Lagos, has been reportedly arrested and detained by operatives of the police command, for contravening the lockdown order in the state, to attend a birthday party at Funke Akindele-Bello’s house over the weekend.
Gbadamosi, who released a video on Sunday to apologise for not leaving the venue when he should, was said to have been arrested after he was seen in the viral video of the party organised by the Nollywood actress for her husband, Abdul-Rasheed, also known as JJC Skillz, held at Amen Estate, Ibeju-Lekki, to mark his 43rd birthday.
Reports quoted sources at the police command as saying that Gbadamosi may not be released until he has been charged to court.
Akindele-Bello and her husband were charged to court on Monday, and sentenced to 14-day community service.
They were also fined N100, 000 each.
Both of them will also be quarantined in a location to be determined by the state government, to determine their Coronavirus status.
They are also required to submit names and phone contacts of all the attendees of the party.
