Police Arrest Eight People In Connection With Davido’s Son’s Death

Popular Nigerian artist David Adeleke, often known as “Davido,” had eight of his domestic employees detained after his three-year-old son drowned at his home on Monday.

Newsbreak Nigeria had earlier reported that  Ifeanyi Adeleke, age 3, drowned in a pool.

Davido’s son was rescued from the pool and transferred to a hospital in Lagos, where he was later pronounced dead.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos police spokesman, verified that Davido’s home was the scene of the drowning and said that an investigation was proceeding.

Many Nigerian celebrities, including Iyabo Ojo, Ayo Makun, Toyin Abraham, Daddy Freeze, Eniola Badmus, and others, have expressed their condolences for the couple even though the family has not yet commented on what happened.

On October 20, Davido and Chioma Rowland celebrated the third birthday of their now late child who reportedly died on Monday
