Kwara state police command has arrested Fatai and friends for physically assaulting his girlfriend, Aduke, over claims that she was cheating on him.

Aduke, HND1 student of Bartholomew College of Health Shao, Kwara State, cried out on social media after being flogged mercilessly by her boyfriend, who accused her of infidelity.

According to a source familiar with the incident, “He invited her over and started quizzing her in front of his friends.

Fatai accused Aduke of engaging in ‘hookup’ and proceeded to flog her buttocks with a cane. She pleaded with him to have mercy claiming she was innocent of the cheating allegations, but her plea fell on deaf ears.

After the incident, she took to her WhatsApp status to share gory pictures of the result of the flogging. The matter was reported to the police but they let the matter slide.”

In a new video circulating online, Fatai and his friends, can be seen kneeling down begging as security personnel gave him slaps saying, “So you beat my sister ehn?.”

The suspects were eventually whisked away to be interrogated and may face prosecution.

Kwara state police spokesperson, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed to newsmen that the suspects have all been arrested and will be paraded today, June 21.

”Yes, the boys have been arrested and we are investigating the matter. By today, we will parade them so the world will see their faces” he said
