The Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, has explained why a police officer was seen fighting with a military official in a now-viral video.
In a tweet in response to the viral video showing the police officer and the soldier fighting, Hundeyin explained that the soldier had told the driver of the bus he was in to travel against the flow of traffic. The police spokesperson disclosed that an argument broke out after the officer stopped the car for breaking the law. According to reports, the soldier was offended by the police officer’s behavior, which sparked the altercation.
“The soldier, who was a passenger, directed the driver to drive against traffic. The policemen stopped the vehicle and the soldier took offense that the vehicle he boarded was stopped. He, therefore, decided to attack the armed policeman. The Army have been informed,” Undeyin wrote.
