The Osun Police Command have uncovered a ritualist den and arrested two siblings in Ilobu town, Molete area of the state.
The police also discovered shallow graves and bottles of alcoholic mixtures scattered around the building where the den was found.
Fimihan Adeoye, the state commissioner of police said the command acted on a tip off which led to the discovery. He however, said the leader of the ritualist gang escaped but assured that the police were on his trail.
“We acted on a a reliable tip off which led to the arrest of two brothers of same parents while their kingpin and leader is still at large.
“Of particular interest was the discovery of a dungeon with path which connects one of the shrines to another. Several statues and hundreds of bottles of alcoholic drink were scattered around the shrine.
“Some shallow graves were also seen scattered around the building but we still investigating to be sure if they are graves of some of the victims of the fraudsters,” he said.
The CP appealed to the people of the state to always provide useful information which could assist the police in carrying out their duties.
