A woman, Joy Uwaoma, has accused some policemen of the Elere Division in the Agege of detaining her with eight men.

She lamented the bad treatment by the policemen after which they were extorted and set free.
Narrating how the arrest happened, he said the men had stopped her with a friend while they were riding in a Toyota Venza. She said the officers had refused to tell them what they did wrong, saying they jumped in the car and directed them to their station.

Uwaoma also said a police officer, speaking Yoruba, had said they were in trouble and hit her male friend with his gun when he missed the way to their station. She added that the policeman was infuriated after catching her recording their faces, yelling that they were arrested for not wearing their face masks and her case is misconduct.
“That was when they now said our offense was that we weren’t putting on nose masks inside the car, with AC on and mine Misconduct. But oga no tell us our crime before. Now they have something to hold unto. They made sure they collected our money.

“One kept pushing me inside the car, another one hit a gun on my friends head when he was directing him and my friend couldn’t get the location. They made sure they drained us. These men are wicked people. They detained me up with 8 guys,” she tweeted.
