Two police officers in Osun, who were caught on camera flogging a woman in the Iwo area of the state, have been dismissed from service, according to the Police Force.
The officers are; Inspector Ikuesan Taiwo with AP NO 251724, and PC Abass Ibrahim with Force No. 509634.
The victim, Tola Azeez, who reportedly stepped out of her house during the lockdown to buy drugs for a sick person, was accosted and flogged by the officers.
They only stopped when one of their colleagues intervened.
Mohammed Adamu, Inspector General of Police, had called for a full investigation after the video surfaced on social media.
According to the Force, investigations have been concluded and the two erring officers were found guilty, leading to their dismissal.
They will also be arraigned in court for prosecution.
