An Akwa Ibom evangelist, Victor Edet has labelled Mercy Chinwo’s engagement actions as forbidden and for prostitutes.
The Nigerian gospel singer shared her engagement news yesterday as she revealed her soon-to-be Lagos-based pastor husband.
Evangelist Victor Edet took to Facebook to criticise the singer.
He shared Chinwo’s engagement photo and wrote: wrote:
“CONGRATULATIONS to you Mercy. Meanwhile, Using Ring for engagement or Wedding engagement is Completely wrong and Totally unacceptable. As Christians, the Bible forbids us from using rings and Jewelries as stated in Isaiah:3-16-26.
“Wearing Make-Up is another Sin of its own. Make-Up are for spoilt people (Prostitute) as stated in Jeremiah:4-30, and no spoilt person will enter the kingdom of Heaven.”
