Alhaji Da’u Yahaya Santolo, the village head of Santolo district in Dawaki community of Kano State, is dead.
Newsbreak.ng reports that Alhaji Santolo passed away recently in Kano following an undisclosed illness. He has been buried according to Islamic rites.
Condolences have started pouring in over the demise of Alhaji Santolo.

Reacting to the death of the traditional ruler in a press statement sent to this newspaper, a former governor of Kano State and presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, said: “I express my deepest condolences to the good people of Dawakin Kudu Local Government in Kano State over the recent loss of Alhaji Da’u Yahaya Santolo, the village head of Santolo.
“May the Almighty Allah forgive his sins, grant him Aljannah Firdaus and comfort his family.”
In a piece of related news, the Majority Leader of the Kano State House of Assembly and member representing Warawa at the State Assembly, Labaran Madari, also lost his mother, Hajiya Rabi. Hajia Rabi died last week.
