Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has confirmed that the Port Harcourt refinery has started operations, producing between three and five million litres of fuel. NNPC’s Group General Manager and Group Public Affairs Division, Garba-Deen Mohammed made the statement while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday. Deen said the corporation is expecting “Kaduna refinery to begin any time from now, and we also have vessels discharging fuel. And so, all these combined measures will bring down the situation.” Deen said this movement will put an end to the present fuel scarcity in the country.
