Biafra Nations League (BnL) has condemned the killing of the elder brother of Nollywood star, Osita Iheme (aka Pawpaw) by gunmen enforcing the sit-at-home order by Biafra agitator Simon Ekpa in Mbaitoli Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State.
Newsbreak.ng reports that the national leader of BnL, Princewill Richards disassociated his group from the enforcers, adding that the killers are criminals being used to tarnish the image of the Biafran struggle.
He described the attack as wicked, lamenting that Igbo people killing their tribesmen is becoming a daily occurrence.
“Many criminals are there to spoil what others are doing. I don’t know those responsible for this killing of our own, sit-at-home should not be made a do-or-die affair,” he said.
Furthermore, Richards consoled the Nollywood star, praying that God gives him the fortitude to bear the loss.
“I learnt that in some places many people stayed at home, while in some areas, others did not comply.
“In freedom fighting, you can never record hundred percent support. I have never seen where it happens.
“So I’m calling on Igbo youths to apply sense in whatever actions they take.
“Osita is one of the actors I cherish, and he has been a successful businessman with many of his investments at home. I commiserate with him.”
