Toju Eresanara, a former Zonal Medical Director of the Central Hospital, in Warri, Delta State, has reportedly died in an isolation centre.
According to The Nation, Eresanara may have died of COVID-19 complications on Wednesday.
It was gathered that he had been undergoing treatment at a COVID-19 treatment centre in Asaba, after testing positive.
Eresanya was said to have played a vital role in reshaping and upgrade of the central hospital in Warri.
The publication said he was placed on oxygen for about a week, after which his condition worsened.
He was a Consultant Anaesthetist at the central hospital.
