Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, will be performing at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Many had expected the singer who did a theme song for the World Cup  ‘Better Together’ alongside Qatari musicians to star at the opening ceremony of the prestigious sporting event. However, the tragic event of the previous months had forced the music star to stay off the spotlight.

The popular Nigerian musician Davido will perform at the 2022 FIFA World Cup’s closing ceremony, according to Hong Kong tycoon, Stephen Hung.

For many Nigerians and even followers of the music superstar throughout the world, this most recent development would be welcome news because it will give them the chance to see him once more.

Newsbreak had in October reported that Davido lost his son Ifeanyi Adeleke who drowned in a swimming pool at the singer’s apartment.

On November 27, Davido was seen in Osogbo, where he was present for his uncle Ademola Adeleke’s swearing-in as the new governor-elect of Osun State.

There were rumors that Davido had to miss a lot of his performances after the passing of his son in order to be with his family.
