The outrageous ticket prices of Asake’s December concert have sparked outrage on social media after various price rates for the concert were released on Wednesday.
Tagged ‘Mr. Money With Vibe Feat’, details of the event released on social media indicated that ticket at the event was selling at a minimum rate of N70,000 with the VVIP category costing up to N10 million.
According to ticket pricing obtained by Newsbreak Nigeria, concertgoers would pay N70,000 to gain admission to the venue for a standing position throughout the event. The next level of tickets costs N3 million but comes with some more perks.
Other ticket costs are N4 million, N8 million, and N10 million, with the highest price for the VVIP session at the event, with treats increasing in accordance with the cost of each area of the arena.
Commenting on the development, music enthusiast Joey Akan explained that the price categories weren’t fixed by Asake.
“That isn’t Asake’s show. It’s a festival organised by a promoter to host Asake as the headline act for that night. All that concerns Asake there is his performance fee. Once that is paid, it’s the promoter’s job to ensure that the hall is packed and profit is made. That’s why,” Joey Akan wrote.
