Reactions have trailed the widely-reported transfer agreement between erstwhile Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo and Super Eagles of Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa’s former club, Al Nassr.

Newsbreak.ng reports that Ronaldo has reportedly agreed a record-breaking £172.9 million per year contract with Saudi Arabian side, Al Nassr.

According to Marca, the former Real Madrid and Juventus man has sensationally agreed to a two-and-a-half-year deal with Al Nassr, worth a massive £172.9 million per year that will see him play until the age of 40.

See some reactions on Twitter to Ronaldo’s imminent transfer to Saudi Arabia below:

If Ronaldo moves to Saudi Arabia or some similar shit league just for money I will be disappointed. I thought he wants goals and competitiveness that is only in Europe. There aren’t really challenges of his caliber in Asia or America.

Why would Ronaldo go to Saudi Arabia? He can still do it in Europe

The name Cristiano Ronaldo alone is one of the biggest Brands in the world. Do you know how much media stations pay ? Do you know the new sponsors will pay to Al nasser because of Ronaldo? Do you know how many people will travel just to watch him play?Go learn some football maths

@Cristiano You have more money than 99.99% of the planet – literally. You have been handed an opportunity to make a statement about human rights by turning down money in support of your morals. Imagine the career that could launch, and the legacy it leaves.

Ronaldo, see it all about money not the sport.
