Spanish giants, Real Madrid, are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to sign Chelsea star, Eden Hazard.
According to a report by Spanish publication, MARCA, Madrid are on the verge of reaching an agreement with the player and his club over a move in the summer transfer window.
It added that the Belgian international will sign a six-year contract with Los Blancos.
The former Lille of France player has made no secret of his desire to play for the Champions League holders.
Other reports suggested that the Spanish capital club had launched a bid for the 28-year-old last season, but withdrew after the London club demanded €200 million for him.
Hazard has since maintained that he would like to play for the club one day, especially under Zinedine Zidane, whom he said is his idol.
The winger, who is regarded as one of the best in the world, has also insinuated that he needed to play in La Liga, if he wants to become the best footballer in the world.
According to MARCA, all three parties; Real Madrid, Chelsea and Hazard are closing to reaching an agreement over a deal .
The need for Real Madrid to strengthen their attack has been well documented this season. They have failed to fill the void left by the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Juventus last summer.
In the current campaign, Karim Benzema is the only player who has managed to score on a consistent basis, which reflects in the club’s position across all competitions.
They are out the race for the league title, and have been knocked out of the Champions League and Copa del Rey.
Hazard has scored 17 goals in 41 appearances for Chelsea this season, providing 12 assists, making him the most productive player at the club.
