David Moyes has been given the boot by Real Sociedad on Monday afternoon after just a year on the job. The former Manchester United manager knew his fate on Sunday night but Club president, Jokin Aperribay wanted to deliver the news face to face.
Moyes is due around €1.5million (£1m) in compensation after his mission to turn Real Sociedad back into a European force hit the rocks and he must now return to England knowing that he has already turned down a host of top opportunities to rejoin the Premier League. Last season he was targeted by Sunderland, West Ham, Aston Villa and Newcastle but he decided to remain loyal to Aperribay.
Real Sociedad are understood to have lined up Eusebio to take over where the Scot left off.
