New England Revolution forward Kei Kamara was yellow-carded after his twerking goal celebration was seen as inappropriate by the referee. The forward had scored his side’s third goal in the 3-0 demolition of Didier Drogba’s Montreal Impact on Sunday. The 32-year-old had made the butt-shaking dance in celebration but sure was disappointed to have been booked.
‘You have no butt mate’, the referee must have thought.
It is not the first time a sportsman in the United States has been penalised for the dance move as Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown received a $6,076 fine for his end-zone celebration in the Steelers’ NFL win over the Washington Redskins last month.
