Malcolm Omirhobo, the lawyer who dressed to the Supreme Court like a ‘Juju Priest’ has asked the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) to withdraw their statements about him hating the sight of Muslims.
Newsbreak reports that according to Omirhobo, MURIC’s publication about him “caused pecuniary damage”.
This news medium recalls that last Saturday, MURIC in a statement by its Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, said the lawyer’s behavior, donning a traditional worshipper’s attire to court, was not only contemptuous of the Supreme Court’s pronouncement on the use of hijab among Lagos secondary school students, but also provocative and irreconcilable with the noble profession of law.
Now, Omirhobo has responded, threatening legal action if MURIC do not take back their words and apologise “within seven days”.
