Nigeria’s representative at the Rio 2016 Olympic games, Dream Team VI, have avoided a clash against host nation Brazil after they lost 2-0 to Colombia. The Samson Siasia-led boys will face Denmark who finished second in Group A.
The Europeans lost by 4-0 to the Brazilians in the final game of the group stages of the competition. The Eagles, despite the loss to Colombia, finished top of the group after they defeated Japan and Sweden.
South Africa and Iraq both crashed out after their 1-1 draw in the group’s other game.
In other quarter final fixtures, Portugal will play Germany while South Korea will battle Honduras. Hosts Brazil play Eagles’ devourers, Colombia.
The matches will be played on Saturday, 13 August.
