Nollywood superstar and philanthropist Rita Dominic who stars on the yet to be released movie ’76 will be taking part in the exclusive premiere of the historic Nigerian movie ’76 at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival.
As part of her itinerary, the star will take part in movie premieres and special appearances.
The movie was specially screened by former president Olusegun Obasanjo recently. In a story inspired by true events, six years after the civil war in Nigeria, Rita Dominic plays a heavily pregnant woman whose life crumbles when the news of her husband’s involvement in a botched military coup hits the headlines. The movie also stars Ramsey Nouah, and Chidi Mokeme in the gripping drama set against the backdrop of the attempted 1976 military coup against the government of General Murtala Mohammed. ’76 is directed by Izu Ojukwu and produced by Adonijah Owiriwa and Prince Tonye Princewill.
