Some suspected robbers have written to Uche Augustine Okam, manager of Fidelity Bank branch in Ilupeju, Lagos State, over a planned visit.
It was gathered that the robbers also directed the manager to prepare cash for them before their arrival.
Okam reported the letter of threat to the police at the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), headed by CSP Peter Gana, who led a trail of the suspect.

One of the suspected robbers identified as Bright Ebhohimen, was arrested and detained for interrogation.
He allegedly confessed to the planned attack on the bank, and was charged before an Ogba Magistrates’ Court for conspiracy and threat to life of the manager.
He, however, pleaded “not guilty”.

Mojiade Edema, the prosecutor, asked the court to fix a date for hearing, following the defendant’s not guilty plea, to enable the police prove the case.
The Presiding Magistrate, A.O. Layinka, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ebhohimen was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.

The matter was adjourned till December 16, 2019.
Meanwhile, SARS operatives on the trail of other suspects who are still at large in connection to the alleged notice.
