The invaders, who were armed with guns and other weapons, reportedly invaded the area around 11:00pm and operated till 2:00am.

They also carted away laptops and mobile phones.

The robbers were said to have gained access to the area through a route being constructed by government to connect Barika, Agbowo and Orogun communities.

The report said the robbers went away with ATM cards of some of the residents due to network failure.

They damaged properties of one of the families for not giving them prompt attention.

The Oyo State police command has confirmed the incident.

Adewale Osifeso, the command’s spokesperson, said the police received a distress call from the estate and deployed officers to the area around 3:00am.
