Real Madrid and Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the richest footballer alive. The former Manchester United man topped the list of 13 richest footballers.
Net worth data released by Sunday Times rich list, Forbes, Goal.com and financial services site; Gobankingrates.com., showed that only three out of the thirteen footballers are worth over £100 million ($128.6 million).
However, Paris Saint-Germain start, Neymar, who is the world most expensive footballer in the world is in a distant seventh position.

Ronaldo earns £19 million ($24.4 million) a year at Real Madrid. Though Ronaldo is paid £5 million less than Messi, he has more sponsors. Ronaldo is “a human billboard for a global portfolio of sponsors” like Nike, Tag Heuer, and Armani. He also has his own CR7 brand, which sells aftershave and clothes.
2: Lionel Messi, FC Barcelona — net worth £230 million ($295 million).
