Real Madrid have reportedly reserved Cristiano Ronaldo’s vacant No. 7 shirt for Eden Hazard, a report has said.
According to Spanish outlet, Don Balon, Hazard, who has been tipped to replace Ronaldo, who left for Juventus two weeks ago, will inherit the number at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spanish giants have now shifted their attention to the former Lille playmaker, after Paris Saint-Germaine duo of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar Junior, pledged their future to the French club.
The Belgium international wears jersey No.10 at Chelsea, but the number is currently occupied by Croatian midfielder, Luka Modric.
Another report claimed that the Champions League holders have reached a £170 million agreement with Chelsea for the 2018 World Cup Bronze medalist.
The 27-year-old, who enjoyed a sterling campaign at the World Cup, hinted after their third-place playoff win over England, that his future could be away from Chelsea.
“After six wonderful years at Chelsea, it might be time to discover something different,” he said.
“I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision.
“If they let me out, you already know my favorite destination,” the Belgium captain said.
