
Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker, house of representatives, Yakubu Dogara, their deputies and the chief justice of federation are to be immune from prosecution given a proposed constitutional amendment. Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Leo Ogor, told Vanguard that if the head of the executive arm; the President, and his vice enjoy immunity, the heads of the legislature and the judiciary arms should also benefit from such. Ogor said doing so would reduce distractions and crisis in the National Assembly and shield the senate from external influence.
