There are reports President Muhammadu Buhari has received the details of police investigation on the alleged forged senate rules upon which Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, were elected. THE PUNCH says the president received the reports, which confirmed the senate standing rules were indeed forged, last Sunday. The newspapers attributed the origin of its reports to a presidency source, even though it said the spokesman for the federal police, Emmanuel Ojukwu, declined to confirm it. The police, in the same reports, say investigation is continuing. Those said to have been interrogated during investigation were the Clerk, Salisu Maikasuwa, former Senate President David Mark, his deputy (now Saraki’s deputy) Ike Ekweremadu; former Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba; and the former Chairman, Senate Committee on Rules and Business, Senator Ita Enang.
