A student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, in Oyo State, has lamented how some operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), forced him to transfer his school fee to them, days before his semester examination.

According to the student who reported the case on his Twitter handle,@Nsnazy, said his pleas fell on deaf ears, as the operatives insisted that he cleared his bank account, or they will shoot him.
He eventually transferred the money to a Zenith bank account with the name: Julius Erhauyi Ighebor.
The university commences examinations on Monday, February 24, 2020.
He wrote: “I was robbed by 4 Sars operatives in ogbomosho lautech they came with guns and collected all my school fees.

“I have a deadline to pay the school fees before Monday they didn’t listen they threatened to kill me if I don’t send the money. @segalink please help me sir please sir.”
Reacting to the incident on the micro-blogging site, another student, @veeking, stated that they experience frequent harassment in the hands of SARS officers.

“Sir, some of us cannot wear good clothes in Lautech, not because we don’t have but to avoid being embarrassed by the SARS operatives who believe you are a fraudster whenever they see you on good wears. At times we want to explain but they won’t allow us say anything,” he said.
However, ACP Markus Ishaku Basiran, head of Nigeria Police Force complaint Response Unit (CRU), later tweeted that he is on the case.
