Security: IGP Deploys Special Force To Kogi

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase has deployed a helicopter, with 35 operatives from the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad to Kogi State to combat kidnapping and robbery in the state.

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Commissioner of Police Usman Yakubu, said that many suspected kidnappers and robbers have been killed in their various hideouts since the arrival of the team.

“Since the arrival of the team, it had arrested some suspected kidnappers from their camps in the state and  the team would continue to bombard hideouts until the state was free from the criminals. With this helicopter, we can easily track down either kidnappers or robbers operating in the state,” Yakubu said.
