Senate President Ahmad Lawan has said security operatives found guilty of using weapons unprofessionally should be prosecuted.
He said this while reacting to the extra-judicial killing of Nigerians by security operatives enforcing lockdowns across the country.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) had reported that 18 persons have been killed by high-handed security personnel during enforcement of the lockdowns across the country.
Lawan also commiserated with the Internally Displaced Persons who were affected by a fire outbreak in their camp on Thursday in Ngala, Borno State.
Fourteen people lost their lives while several others were injured.
