The Senate has confirmed Muazu Sambo as minister-designate of the Ministry of Power.
The upper legislative chamber confirmed Sambo, who is from Taraba State, as a minister after screening him for about an hour on Tuesday.
The minister-designate told the Senate that he would resolve the issues hindering the progress of Mambilla power project within one year.
Following his confirmation by the Senate, Sambo is expected to be inaugurated as a minister and replace Sale Mamman, who was sacked by President Buhari in September.
