Senator Elisha Abbo, accompanied by Nollywood celebrities, Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo, paid a visit to the grieving family of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad.
Mohbad died on Tuesday, September 12 in a controversial manner and was buried on Wednesday, the following day.
During the visit, Senator Abbo extended his assurance to Mohbad’s mother, as he vowed to ensure her safety and initiate a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her son’s untimely demise.
Senator Abbo, who also holds the distinguished position of Chairman of the Senate Committee on Entertainment Economy, conveyed his unwavering commitment to lead the charge in establishing a Creative Economy Commission.
Newsbreak Nigeria reported that the Lagos State Police Command, on Thursday, exhumed the corpse of late singer, Mohbad for autopsy.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed the development via his X handle on Thursday.
Hundeyin wrote: “Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence. #JusticeForMohad #Justice4Mohbad.”
