Reports had said the actor may be released on Friday after a police source told Punch Metro that the actor cannot be detained for long due to the strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN). He also said the assault case against him is statute-barred since the crime was allegedly committed seven years ago.
