A former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, on Friday asked President Muhammadu Buhari to meet with the family members of the Kaduna-Abuja train victims in captivity.

Newsbreak reports that the Kaduna-Abuja train was attacked on March 28, leading to the death of no fewer than eight persons while several others were kidnapped.

Their abductors (terrorists), who asked the Federal Government to release some of their commanders in exchange for the victims, had released several videos to press home their demands.

Relatives of the kidnapped victims have made repeated calls for their release, with the Federal Government assuring that steps are being taken to rescue the passengers. However, there are still many of the captives in the terrorists’’ den.

“The distance between Abuja-Kaduna by Train is 2 hours. The hostages have just spent 65 days in the hands of terrorists. Every second counts. The President should meet with their family members. The Federal Government must act now!!!” Sani wrote on his official Twitter handle.
