Dr. Dunstan Spencer, former director of International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, has said the news of the appointment of Dr Olaoluwa Adejayan, a Nigerian medical doctor, as head of the Sierra Leone COVID-19 Task Force is false.

Spencer, who is elder brother of Julius Spencer, Sierra Leone’s former Minister of Information and Broadcasting, said this in a chat with Newsbreak.

Reports had said Adejayan’s appointment was contained in a letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari by Julius Maada Bio, President of Sierra Leone.
